I first saw him many years ago, on his first trip to Australia with Spearhead. The gig was mindblowing. A funky party vibe which infected everyone. Since then i went to about 6 or 7 shows but i've stopped going lately. While i sympathise with the politics it all comes across rather self righteous and unneccesary since he's essentially preaching to the converted. I hear you on the Franti front. Still mostly good though..its not all hands in the air, geetar. All the Carling venues are camera fascists, so I dont bother trying to bring one (need to get a decent smaller camera).
