What a link! I’ll be spending an afternoon trawling thru all that free goodness!

“Bloody yellow font” – I know I know… what I dont know is how to change it without getting a new look for entire site . Must be some colour value somewhere but buggered if I can find it

Simon – Kid Harpoon was indeed good. I’ve got a 7″ by him.. but hadnt got around to listening to it properly :s

last comment disappeared and only left the explainitary typo comment, i’m starting to get confused…what the now vanished comment sain was that theres loads of free mp3’s at http://www.insound.com/mp3/mp3s.php including some beirut. I’m talking 141 pages of free tracks with on average 20 tracks per page. Proper bands and all that.

I was having alittle dig around for Beirut tracks to listen to (cant access audio stuff at work) and i stumbled on a huge cache of free free free MP3's....including a Beirut track....me thinks you'll like this link MLD.

I wouldnt trust any DiS review, they would say anything at Luminaire is great.

AHAAH were much better than I expected, as I find their album a bit heavy going as a whole. Live was a different matter. That said I probably wouldn’t bother going to see them if they played again without Beirut. So you missed a good night, but you got to see Beirut.. you lucky swine!

Angry – What can I say everyone was disappointed… at least you’re more likely to see them live over there again soon? I’ve read elsewhere suggestions that Zach suffers severe stage fright, but the official statement says he was “briefly hospitalised”. All the best to him whatever the truth is.

I’ve got mixed feelings about this one. I managed to blag a ticket, then came back from a weekend exhausted and with an injured knee. The trip to Kilburn seemed just too much. Before I went to bed I read on Drowned in Sound that it had been ’semi-cancelled’. But by all accounts that I’ve heard, AHAAH were pretty great. Maybe I missed out after all…
