three things–

1. don't let the spoken intro thing put you off. i was nervous too but it's really simple. just listen to a few and you'll see what i mean.

2. simon does his own fab podcasts over at you can call me betty, he must be too shy to mention them.

3. wrote some ltt stuff today, hope to get it done sooner rather than later! : )

My concern with all this digital media and mp3 business is the death of the album. 'Rumours' is a good album. 'Graceland' is a good album. 'Back In Black' 'Led Zep IV' 'Solid Air' 'What Colour Is Love' (the list really is endless…)

Peeps with a passing interest in music, because they were given an ipod as a present, are more dangerous than a room full of sweaty Record business accountants. They will cherrypick "choons" and leave hundreds of B-side track 3s rotting at the side of the road…

Although I don't have an ipod, I am making podcasts (work that out!) soon to be appearing on the infamous fingermag.com website, for the magazine.

Pencilled in SeanP, Lindstrom, Henrik Schwarz, Emperor Machine and Dani Siciliano…watch that space…mix & interview podcasts of our favourites' favourites.

two scroobius pip related podcasts...just coz i love to drop his name wherever i can!...Rosco illa and Overview both produce podcasts and both played on the scroobius pip album. Rosco illa's illasound podcast is a very healthy Jazz related thang, a really solid mix of the genre. Overview's is a big wobbly behemoth of my kind of instrumental rock...worth a listen the pair of them,,, http://www.overviewland.co.uk/radio.html

and another thing…my problem with music has always been space, sitting in my living room surrounded by various audio formats wondering how much cash i'd save if i could fit into a smaller flat, you'd think that all this digital media would save the day, but thanks to the wealth of wonderful webcasts and mp3 blogs, my iPod is now very full, i have far to many random CD-Rs kicking around the house and lovely new laptop is already half full..
