June was the month that… I totally neglected this blog. Must try harder.
Windmill
Newport Pagnell is best known for its service station, parchment, and at a push a very old Iron bridge. That’s set to change as Pagnell is the unlikely home of Matthew Thomas Dillon who under the guise of “Windmill” has released a contender for album of the year.
“Puddle City Racing Lights” took a while to burrow itself into my skull, but over the last couple of months its gradually become my most played by far.
I’ll describe it a bit more soon but I have to dash so I’ll leave you with an MP3, and a Youtube of the breathtakingly good new single “Fit” – Buy both now

Really not a fan of Windmill, I can see that it’s technically good, it’s just that his voice is so…damn…annoying.

Mumbo – Yeah, if I’d ever had time to write a bit more I was going to say that his voice is the sonic equivalent of marmite, you either love it or just as likely run screaming covering your ears! Its an all or nothing thing.
