I'm trying to get back to posting more regularly after a shaky 07, and its always good to know someones listening. I know what you mean about 128 bit rates. Sometimes i only get sent the files at 128, but in the case of the top 150 I did re-encode the entire list at 128 (primerily to ease download costs) which was perhaps a mistake as its made them all sound muddy. Will see what I can do, but I'm also aware of trying to tread a fine line between promoting new music, and just brazenly giving away other peoples work for free. A 128 file gives a fairly good idea of what a band/act sopunds like while still perhaps prompting those that really love it to go out and actually buy the music.
