Akira The Don - ‘Thanks For All The AIDS (NY Master)‘ (MP3)

Akira The Don is a man on the mission, to create ‘the best artist website in the world’. I think he’s selling himself short - its already the best artist website - he needs to aim higher and go for all out ‘best website‘ fullstop.   On a personal note until today I was at least confident that this site was easily the best blog in the world called music like dirt, but now I can’t even relax on that as someone else has just started another music blog called music like dirt!!

Anyway I digress back to Akira, his site is a veritable feast of MP3’s, lyrics, animations and video epics and he’s just posted the original version of one of the best tracks of 2006 (I had it at the shockingly low 36th best (someone called Adele was top), while MLD co-writer and fellow blogger StopMe sensibly had it as No.1).

The new version of ‘Thanks For All The AIDS‘ adds the original unapproved De Burgh sample, even though the sampled man himself told the Don to keep thieving.

Download it now, no other song sees Bono smited, Keane bombed from the air while asking the pressing question ‘Why charge that much for Lego!?‘.  The lyrics are so good I’ve featured them in full below, and why not also grab the conversation/fight starting ‘Thanks For All The AIDS‘ tshirt.
