Professor Green reworks Adele’s Hometown Glory

Professor Green’s spent much of the last 12 months fighting to get his master tapes back off Warner’s after the collapse of Mike Skinners ‘Beats‘ label.  Now he’s back with The Green EP‘ (available here) featuring Adele, Ny and erm… Gladys Knight.

Its been a big year for The Young Turks label, and 09 is set to be equally fine if Tanlines are a sign of the quality they’ve signed up.
Tanlines are doing a free instore at Puregroove on the 8th of December which seems as good an excuse as any to post this track, that I’ve been meaning to post since it popped through my letterbox a few months back. As Puregroove say ‘one of the tracks of the year‘.

When reviewing LCD Soundsystem’s Cargo show back in March I joked I couldnt listen to ‘New York I Love You‘ without getting Rawlf & Kermits Muppets duet I hope that something better comes along“ (YouTube) stuck in my head.  Maybe James Murphy has the same problem as he’s got Kermit to sing the track for the new video for the song (YouTube).

Finally Pitchfork just posted the wonderfully 80′s video game inspired video for Fujiya and Miyagi’s ‘Sore Thumb‘ – Watch it here
