The original of “Dem Na Like Me” is free on the CD that comes with the new issue of The Word magazine (They seem to have copied my TEN4SE7EN from the last couple of weeks... lol!).

Yes that BeenieMan rework is way better. Never did get round to posting it though. Got emailed it sometime in september last.

Ninja PR central says "Dem Na Like Me" out 26/01/09, Album "Join The Q" out 02/02/09 - both on Ninja Tune.

I havent actually heard the original as Ninja only sent me the four remixes. Maybe check their myspace?

Totally agree about the dancehall start. Maybe Mr.Ten4Seven Ryan has the original...Ryan?

so i'm confused about 'Dem Na Like Me' -- from what i've read, the original track hasn't been released yet, but there are already remixes out? that's kind of awesome as a marketing trick.
but the thing about this track is that the part i like best is the reggae that opened it - it made me immediately, intensely nostalgic for the dancehall of my high school years. and then i was disappointed because the rest of the song didn't follow through on that nostalgia, though that's not a comment on the quality of the song. i need a soca fix. do you think the original will provide that?
