It is, as you point out, Divine Comedy channelling Morrissey in Marc Almond's boudoir while wearing a Pettie's scarf, but 'Selfish Bachelor' is so close to the bone for anyone of that disposition (hi brother!)it has to be considered perfect. And the other singles get pretty close. I think Mr Shah's sound may be too 'eighties for even the current revival, but his storytelling alone has won a new fan down roomyverse way. I may even pen a blogpost on the gentleman myself, if only so I can echo his immortal query 'What would your mother make of Stockwell?' Keep it up Mr Shah!
